Hohner HAB-40 Acoustic Bass Guitar Reviews 5

I traded a bandmate a epiphone cornet guitar for this horner I liked the harmonica and enjoy this bass.

Well put together no flaws in the appointments also the tonality is ever present as well as the active electronics are first rate found on more expensive guitars. a very pretty and stylish bass

the only thing I don't like is the guess work as to what guage strings to buy for replacements I wish the web site had a reference and recomendation to assist the players in selecting similar strings.

with not a bad construction on the unit it has enclosed tuners and a silky smooth top of solid spruce which has a tight wood grain, an wonderful tan and brown back and sides with a herringbone line down the middle. a bone nut at the head stock and a rose wood neck with white binding, rose wood bridge.

bottom line is this is an great german construction and electronics very gestalt.
